There are many different directions taken by boat and yacht builders when planning an express cruiser type vessel. At Stamas Yacht, we build The Aegean series of express models from 32’6” to 39’ with not only the hard core fisherman in mind, but his family and crew as well.
There are two distinctly separate purposes that go into the planning of each and every Aegean.
Number One is a fishing cockpit that is battle wagon equipped and just as importantly
Number Two is a cabin that is comfortable and functional with a Yacht Quality fit and finish. This philosophy is why after 70 years of production, Stamas is still the standard by which all other builders are compared. If stating the facts is bragging then let us mention this one fact that no other builder can state, we have been building Stamas since 1952 and have” NEVER HAD A HULL FAILURE”. I guess a perfect record is worth bragging about.
The Aegean Series is considered by fishermen to be the most well-equipped functional express platform on the market today. Getting to the fishing grounds quickly and comfortably is a benefit that everyone onboard appreciates, and The Stamas “Variable Degree Deep V” hull is famous for doing just that. With today’s big 4-stroke engines available in twin or triple set-ups these yachts are not only soft riding and dry, but also fast and fuel efficient.
Once there, tackle centers, livewells and fully insulated fish boxes make fishing a pleasure. Helm stations are raised to help keep an eye on the lines in the water and can be equipped with your custom choice of electronics. Hardtops with rocket launchers are standard, as are the Premium helmsmen chairs. Bringing the big ones will be a pleasure on an Aegean.
After a day of fishing or cruising, relax in a cabin that is well-thought-out, functional, and comfortable. The Marine A/C system will keep you cool or warm depending on the climate, and the galley is equipped with the appliances and storage to keep the chef happy. Fully fiberglass lined head compartment with electric head and hot and cold shower keep the entire crew fresh and comfortable while onboard (they are a snap to keep clean too). The premium audio sound system and flat panel TV/DVD player entertains guests and keeps the kids busy when the fishing slows down.
